In one day, we saw how a simple prank can turn into a national security threat involving the Secret Service.

APCO Forum Analysis of President Obama’s Middle East Speech

Moderated by Baron Hill, former member of the United States House of Representatives, the panel featured Ambassador Marc Ginsberg and Mark Benson, chairman of APCO Insight, the opinion research division of APCO Worldwide. Mr. Benson recently concluded a study of opinion elites and their views of the Arab world.

The Home Stretch…Why Hispanic Turnout May Decide the Nevada Senate Race

Nevada has a substantial Hispanic population (more than 25 percent). A significant portion of that 25 percent hold labor-oriented jobs in Nevada’s many restaurants, casinos and hotels. As a result, the Hispanic and labor vote (often overlapping) are key to winning any statewide race in Nevada, making them a heavily courted demographic. But Republican and Tea Party-endorsed candidate Sharron Angle seems to have thrown caution to the wind, focusing on tough immigration reform and lowering taxes. Such themes play well with the Republican base, but not as much to the typically left-leaning Hispanic population and labor groups in Nevada.
