Yesterday I went to an interesting speech by former federal Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson at the National Press Club in Washington.

Thompson was speaking about a new energized initiative to defeat neglected tropical diseases. While supporters will rally around their respective candidate, there does have to be a loser in tonight's debate. But, the loser may not have been one of the candidates. I think the media lost. Both candidates demanded that the discussion needed to move to a higher plane.
